Suicide is not inevitable for anyone. By starting the conversation, providing support, and directing help to those who need it, we can help prevent suicides and save lives.

The Humboldt Connection Suicide Prevention group is asking every community member in Humboldt County to help create a “hope zone” for residents contemplating suicide, and for those who have survived or are bereaved by suicide.

You can help by:

Learning the warning signs of suicide
Starting a conversation with family members, friends and even strangers who may be in crisis
Sharing information on available resources, including the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

The HCSP is counting on you and our entire community to join in this life-saving effort.
